Week 39-40 | Summary - 1️⃣3️⃣3️⃣m DNF 🎉
Two weeks of progress: after a short vacation, I returned strong—5:20 STA and a new DNF PB of 133m. Small technique changes made a big difference. More training insights and tips coming soon—excited to share what’s next!
These past two weeks have been interesting. The first week was spent on vacation, so I only managed one training session. After returning, I chose to skip the submax dives and instead did a few 75-meter dives as a warm-up for the upcoming training sessions.
Things picked up after that. I completed a demanding STA O2 table, finishing with a solid 5:20 breath-hold. In my final session, I had a breakthrough DNF dive, setting a new personal best of 1️⃣3️⃣3️⃣ meters 🎉✌️—no warm-up, no packing, no expectations. My muscles were fatigued from the gym, but the dive felt great.
What stood out was the change in my technique: I increased the number of strokes, shortened the glide phase, and used less energy on my turns. These adjustments paid off. I also tried a new variation of the arrow position—arms above my head but not crossed. It felt more relaxed and made initiating the stroke from that position feel smoother.
Overall, two very productive weeks with noticeable progress.
